Black Mask (Chinese: 黑俠) is a 1996 Hong Kong activity film featuring Jet Li, Lau Ching-Wan, Karen Mok and Anthony Wong. It was coordinated by Daniel Lee and created by Tsui Hark and his generation organization Film Workshop. In 1999, the film was English-named and discharged in the US by Artisan Entertainment.
The film is based an adjusted form of the 1992 manhua Black Mask by Li Chi-Tak. The film was later trailed by a continuation, Black Mask 2: City of Masks, in 2002.
In respect to The Green Hornet, Black Mask wears a domino cover and driver's top in the same style as Kato from the arrangement. The Black Mask is even contrasted with Kato in a news columnist scene.
